More Arts Program

Professional Development and Collaboration Tools for Wyoming Communities

The More Arts Program (MAP) is WyAA’s Professional Development Toolbox for Communities

MAP is a professional development program created to address the community and cultural leadership training needs of Wyoming communities.  This training program is seen by WyAA as critical to building a stronger consortium of voices in support of the arts as key components in community development and in enhancing a statewide creative economy.

Participation in the MAP is through a community-sponsored application process.  Wyoming communities accepted into the MAP receive the training at NO COST.

Through the MAP, workshops are tailor-made for a community’s training needs, including seminars on:

  • creating collaborations and partnerships between community and cultural leaders
  • improving board and volunteer function
  • fundraising strategies
  • reaching your community vision
  • advocacy, promotion, & marketing

In 2020, Rock Springs, Gillette and Powell completed the program.  Applications for the 2021 program are now closed and the 2021 communities have been announced:

  • Casper
  • Laramie
  • Sheridan
  • Lander
  • Rawlins
  • Cheyenne

The MAP program is supported through grants from the Wyoming Arts Council, Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund and the Wyoming Community Foundation.  For more information, contact:
